HELLO 👋🏻
I’m Alex 🌲, or Alexander Jeffrey Burch (AJB), a creative from Portland, Oregon with 10+ years of professional experience that includes branding projects, trade show displays, mobile app design, and commercials.
I also go by alexburch87 for my illustration work. I came up with that username as a tribute to Hydro74 (one of my favorite illustrators), as well as a nod to my childhood and basis for my retro illustration style. I’d like to think I’m clever from time-to-time and have Dad jokes aplenty, much to my wife’s chagrin.
I’ve been fascinated with art and design for as long as I can remember. Since being enamored with video games and legos as a kid, or skateboard graphics and rock concert posters as a teenager, I've always been inspired to create. I use “Turn It Up To Eleven” (reference from a classic 80’s film) as a motto that really reflects the energy and passion I put into my work.
